Nancy Fleming

President, CFP™ Professional

As President of Fleming Financial Services, Nancy Fleming's goal is to give her clients clarity and confidence about their financial futures.

It's something she wanted 25 years ago as a single parent struggling to ensure her young family's survival. Nancy didn't have time to work, raise a family and pursue her passion of financial research, so she made her passion her career and became a financial planner.

"Helping people plan for a secure retirement is my crusade in life.  I want to provide a 'safe haven' where people feel they can come and talk to me because I take the time to listen and help them understand their options."

Sean Fleming

Vice President, IAR

Many people ask me why I became a financial advisor. It really starts from when I was a child. I grew up with four sisters and a single mom who raised all five of us children by herself. I watched carefully how many hours she had to work in order to support her family. My mom (Nancy) started Fleming Financial Services over 25 years ago and we have been able to help so many people get to and through retirement.

I learned a lot from my mom. Among all I learned, there are three things I attribute to her.
1. Her devotion to Faith
2. Her devotion to her family
3. Her devotion to her clients

Now that I am married with 4 children of my own, I continue with those same core values. My devotion to my Faith, my Family, and my Clients is something I hold very dear to me because those are the places I spend most (or all) of my time.

When it comes to my clients, being a Fiduciary and independent of one firm allows me to really put together a plan that is unique to their situation. There is never just one way to accomplish a goal and being a fiduciary and independent allows me to create a plan based upon what my clients need and not from what a company says I can do.

I remember working in the office during my summer breaks as a child and I always telling people that I wanted to be an advisor. Looking back on it, maybe I just wanted to be like my mom and follow in her footsteps.

All my life there have been two things I have a passion for. First is the ability to help people. Second, is to solve problems. This is probably why I took to financial planning at such a young age because I could see that this profession allows me to combine both of my passions into one.

One of my favorite things about what I do is taking a client's most complex situations and simplifying it for them, so they no longer have to worry and can just go enjoy their lives. I never get tired of seeing the transformation on my clients faces from when they first walk into my office to when they leave. Starting off not very confident on how to get income in retirement, or how to invest inside or outside of the
market, or how to minimize taxes or health and the list goes on. Taking that not so confident feeling they have and by the end, my clients are the most confident people in their retirement. This is a feeling that makes me so happy to do this day in and day out and helps me spend many hours day and night helping my clients.
